When I got my math degree, I didn't know what I wanted to do with it, but I said I didn't want to teach.  I graduated and worked as an EMT in San Jose, and then a few years later, decided to get my teaching credential so I could use my degree.  In 1992, I started teaching in the math department at Fremont High School in Sunnyvale.  The following year, I moved to Homestead High School in Cupertino to work with the English language learners, and remained there until my daughter was born, in 1997.  I took a year off from teaching, then we moved up north to Chester, near Lake Almanor, and I taught a variety of subjects including math, chemistry, web page design, and keyboarding at a small jr/sr high school of about 300 students.  In 1999, our second daughter was born, and we decided to move to Aptos.  I stayed home with our kids for a few years, and we had our third child.  When he started preschool, in 2004, I began working at PCCS, and have been working here ever since then.
